Singer/songwriter Tim Guy is playing a series of intimate solo shows around New Zealand to promote the first single ‘Coming Up’ from his forthcoming third album. He will be supported in the main centres by Reb Fountain (Auckland), Jess Chambers (Wellington) and Flip Grater (Dunedin & Christchurch).

Guy’s solo show combines laidback folk/pop songs and instantly hummable tunes interspersed with his unique brand of storytelling.

Since arriving in New Zealand in 2004, this ex-pat Aussie, now firmly implanted in Auckland has undertaken several national tours, each taking in the length and breadth of the country, garnering a strong reputation with audiences from Kerikeri to Invercargill.

As well as touring New Zealand last year (including performances at WOMAD festival), Guy also performed in Spain and Australia. 2009 will see the release of his 3rd album amongst continuing tours of NZ, Australia and Europe.

Guy’s new album was written in a rented villa in the south of Spain  and was recorded in Auckland by producer Jeremy Toy (Opensouls, Hollie Smith).
